Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd first began training in combat sports as young as 14. In addition to BJJ training, she also trained in wrestling, boxing and kickboxing. At age 18, Ladd made her first appearance as an amateur in WCFC. Ladd later went on to win three fights within a row in Ultimate Reno Combat. All of the opponents she defeated were finished within the first five minutes. In WCFC, Ladd defeated Leslie Rodriguez with a unanimous vote. Aspen defeated Silvia Babaeghian, Maddy Simmons and Cynthia Calvillo before facing Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 Cynthia beat Aspen to defeat her in an unanimous decision. This put a black mark on Ladd's records for amateur. Ladd bounced back from the defeat and beat Roma Pawelek at Tuff-N-Uff to take her record up to 8-1. Aspen began her professional career in 2015 after signing as a player with Invicta FC. Invicta 11 saw her take on Ana Carolina Vidal to score a TKO in the first round. Invicta Fc16 was Aspen's first fight in the Bantamweight division. Aspen defeated Amanda Cooper with an armbar in the second round. Aspen's superior wrestling skill took down McGill as she was able to end her third round with a TKO (elbows and strikes). Aspen then faced Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. Aspen fought Hoy in a catchweight (138.1lb) due to the fact that Ladd was not able to weigh in. Aspen still dominated Hoy to finish her in second round with a TKO. Her final fight with this promotion, Ladd fought Sijara Eubanks in a unanimous decision at Invicta FC 21. Aspen Ladd was the first UFC fighter to make her debut. She fought Linalansberg at UFC Fight Night 118. She dominated Lina as she ground-and-pound pounded her for the TKO victory in the second round. Ladd remained in the lead and picked up an even bigger victory against Tonya Avinger in UFC 229 with her next bout. Ladd took on Evinger to the punch in the opening round, and earned a Performance of the Night bonus. Her first fight of note came during her subsequent fight in UFC Fight Night dos Anjos vs. Lee against Sijara Eubanks in an Invicta FC rematch. Ladd took home the night's main event fight bonus fight after the two fighters engaged in a fierce combat. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie defeated Ladd within 16 seconds, breaking her streak of winning. Yana Knitskaya, in the UFC 7 ESPN 7's final round, was defeated by Randamie. For a rematch She fought Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. She lost by unanimous decision.
