Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn has been an American actress in the film industry television and stage since the late 1970s. She's been a professional actor for 27 years. She first appeared on stage as a part of an unstaged Broadway production of The Big Funk written by John Patrick Shanley, in the year 1990. She was then cast for her first television role, The Perfect Tribute. In 1992, she received her breakthrough in the form of an extra character in the movie the movie Basic Instinct. In the film The Firm however that she was chosen as the leading female character for the first time, and this was also against famous actors such as Tom Cruise and Gene Hackman. She worked in the 90s alongside a number of top actors from Hollywood, like Gwyneth paltrow and Hugh Grant. Recently she played Dr Alex Blake in the internationally well-known crime procedural Criminal Minds.

Alexis Thompson is his birth name, while Amanda Thompson is his mother and Scott Thompson is his father. She is American by nationality as well as of white heritage. To further her education, Lexis was homeschooled during the time she was in high school. in September of 2012, she been admitted into Louisiana State University to pursue an undergraduate degree. There is a strong likelihood that she has completed her studies but the grade attained by her institution remains a mystery. Lexis was born into a household of golfers, which means she had no experience in this male-dominated sport. Her first game was at a very young age and she became the youngest golfer to make it into the US Women's Open at the age of 12 in 2007. While she did not win, in 2007 she won the Aldila Junior Classic and became the second. She was the smallest American Junior Golf Association player (AJGA) and also being the youngest player to win the Westfield Junior PGA Championship at that at the time.
