Lita Rossana Ford is an American musician, singer and guitarist from the British Isles. She played the guitar for the rocking, all-girl ensemble The Runaways in the 1970s. The band was never able to the group to be popular in the US, but they gained much popularity in other countries, particularly Japan. Ford embarked on a solo heavy metal career following the breakup of her group in 1979. After studying voice, Ford released her solo debut album "Out for Blood" and followed it up with "Dancin at the Edge". Her albums weren't very successful, so she disappeared for several years. In 1988, she came back to the spotlight with the album that became a huge hit "Lita". Kiss Me Deadly was her greatest hit, as was the ballads Close My Eyes Forever and Kiss Me Deadly. The problem was that she only was a brief star and then disappeared from the music scene for some time. Her return came with the release of "Black" in the year 1995 and 'Wicked Wonderland' almost 15 years later. The album "Time Capsule" was released in the year 2016 by her. Guitar Player Magazine has awarded her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
