A former leading fashion model who was 5'10'' tall, Carey was an a fan favorite of top American fashion designers like Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren. Her father was an outstanding geologist who was awarded the title of Scientist of the year in 1979 by the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists. In the course of his work, Carey grew up all around the globe. When she was attending in the University of Colorado at part-time and was able to catch the attention of Ford model Agency representative in New York. She moved to France in the year 1980, and lived for a short time in Paris as well as Bordeaux prior to deciding to move back in New York to continue with her education at college and build a modeling career. Soon, she was appearing on the covers of Vogue, Glamour, etc. While she was modeling, she was a full time student obtaining a major of literature from New York University. Her interest grew in acting and started training at the Neighborhood Playhouse of New York. The actress had a tiny part of Club Paradise with Robin Williams In 1986. She enjoys rock climbing ski, windsurfing, and skiing.
