Selena Marie Gomez (/s@'li:n@ Gomez/s@-LEE-n@ GOHmez; born July 22nd on the 22nd of July, 1992) is an American actor, singer and producer. Gomez began her acting career with the television show for children called Barney & Friends (2002-2004). She rose to fame as Alex Russo, a teenage star in the Disney Channel television show Wizards of Waverly Place (2007-12). In addition to her TV career, Gomez appeared in the films Another Cinderella Story (2008), Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie (2009), Ramona and Beezus (2010), Monte Carlo (2011), Spring Breakers (2012), Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising (2016), and The Dead Don't Die (2019) as well as as the voice of Mavis in the Hotel Transylvania film franchise (2012-2022). Gomez, through July Moon Productions, executive produced 13 Reasons Why (2017-2022) and Living Undocumented (1919). She also stars in the Hulu drama series, a comedy with a twist of mystery Only Murders in the Building (21-21). Gomez was praised by critics for the latter, as well as nominations for a Golden Globe Award and a Primetime Emmy Award. She was also a producer and star in the HBO Max cooking series Selena + chef (2020-2022) and the Hulu mystery comedy series Only Murders in the Building (2021-2022). All three albums have been certified as gold by the Recording Industry Association of America. They comprise Kiss & Tell (2009) and A Year Without Rain (2010). The album she released as her solo debut, Stars Dance (2013), topped the U.S. Billboard 200, and its leading single "Come and Take It" reached the top ten on the US Billboard Hot 100. Gomez's second studio album Revival (2015) was released at the top of the charts in the US it was certified platinum by the RIAA and was followed by three US top ten songs: "Good for You", "Same Old Love", "Hands to Myself". Rare (2020) which was her third studio album, was her third straight number one album. Its lead single, "Lose You To Love Me" was her first top-ten hit in both the US as well as Canada. In 2021, she released the Spanish-language EP Revelacion in which she was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop Album. Selena Selena Selena Selena Selena
